Internet started penetrating in Asia during 1980s and 1990s. Then came the year 1992, when CERN invented WWW and revolutionized public usage of internet.
After the invention of WWW, internet became immensely popular among masses and the public started suing internet for purposes other than research and communication. WWW commercialized the internet and made it universal. The internet was first used when TCP/IP came into being and it happened in 1974.
